I thank God for my parent’s decision to emigrate to America when I was a kid. I love this country as I am sure you do. Here is a little rendition of “My Country Tis of Thee” by Eugene Taylor: The Drum Prophet and I. The last verse is not often heard but we kept it in because it is at the core of what inspired our founding fathers to establish our democracy. It is my sincere hope that we can strive to return to those values and bring out the best in one another rather than find reasons to hate each other due to our differences. Honor, Integrity, Civility, Diplomacy, Respect, and Truth – let’s first find them in ourselves before we point out the shortcomings in our neighbor.
